Bring the sanctuary to the people.
A ministry of presence
Inspired by Jesus and Father Mychal Judge, we seek to listen, accompany, pray when prayer is wanted, and remain present with people in difficult times. Sometimes presence itself is ministry.
Community outreach
We seek relationships with neighbors and organizations serving people who are hungry, isolated, unhoused, or facing hardship. Service begins by recognizing each person’s dignity. Contact us to discuss opportunities for collaboration.
First responders and healthcare workers
Father Mychal served as an FDNY chaplain. His example calls us to care for firefighters, EMS professionals, dispatchers, law enforcement personnel, healthcare workers, and others who regularly meet people in crisis. We seek to offer a respectful pastoral presence.
Recovery and inclusion
We seek to support people affected by addiction without shame and to welcome LGBTQ+ people and families as full participants in community life. We recognize that religious rejection can cause real harm.
Care beyond the church building
Illness, disability, aging, and limited mobility can keep people from gathering. When possible, we bring visits, prayer, Communion, and Anointing to them. We also accompany people through grief and remembrance.
Interfaith friendship
Our commitment to the one human family includes neighbors of other faiths and no faith. We can work together for compassion, justice, and the common good while honoring our differences.
A ministry can begin when one person notices that another is hurting and chooses to stay.
